Early on, he built his reputation as a realist, or nature painter and print maker. The work on this site is from 1999 – 2006 and it represents a different style of painting than his preliminary work.
Li-Leger’s imagery references Eastern philosophy and nature, as well as the more metaphysical Western artists like Rothko and Kandinsky. His art has been described as “Asian Fusion” and for good reason, since he has traveled and studied extensively on the Asian continent.
